Healthcare professionals in Vacaville no longer need to block off a full day for life-saving training. Safety Training Seminars, located at 9479 Mason St #111 in Downtown Vacaville, offers Self-Guided Learning™ courses for BLS, ACLS, and PALS—combining self-paced online learning with an independent skills session at a CPR Verification Station™ learning center.
The result: you complete American Heart Association® training on your schedule, not someone else’s.
Self-Guided Learning™ is an American Heart Association® course format that pairs online cognitive learning with a self-guided skills session. Learners complete both components independently and, upon successful completion, receive an American Heart Association Course Completion eCard.
This approach differs from traditional classroom or blended learning. There is no instructor-led skills check, no fixed class time, and no group schedule to work around. You study online, practice locally at the CPR Verification Station™ learning center, and walk away with your eCard the same day.
The HeartCode® Complete course is the specific Self-Guided Learning course available for BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
HeartCode® is a trademark of the American Heart Association.
The Self-Guided Learning course pathway at Safety Training Seminars follows three straightforward steps:
Step 1 — Complete the online learning activity
Log in from any compatible device—desktop, laptop, or tablet—and work through the cognitive portion at your own pace. The online component uses True Adaptive™ learning powered by Area9 Lyceum, which continuously adjusts based on your knowledge and confidence level. Instead of reviewing material you already know, the course focuses time on your actual knowledge gaps. BLS online learning takes approximately 1–2 hours; ACLS and PALS take 2–3 hours.
Step 2 — Complete the self-guided skills session
Once you finish the online activity, schedule your hands-on skills session at the CPR Verification Station™ learning center at the Vacaville office on Mason Street—just steps from Downtown Vacaville, near the corner of Mason St and Elizabeth St. During this session, you perform required CPR skills independently. The station provides real-time, objective performance feedback on compression depth, recoil, rate, and ventilation. No instructor coaches or evaluates you. You may repeat the required skills activities as needed to meet the American Heart Association’s performance criteria. Most skills sessions take approximately 30 minutes.
Step 3 — Receive your American Heart Association Course Completion eCard
Upon successful completion of both components, you receive your American Heart Association Course Completion eCard the same day.
Self-Guided Learning courses work best for:
AHA Course Completion eCards are valid for two years and meet employment, hospital, and licensing requirements across California.
Safety Training Seminars has operated as an official American Heart Association® Training Center since 1989. The Vacaville office sits in the Mason Street Center Building in Downtown Vacaville, making it easy to reach from surrounding cities like Fairfield, Dixon, and Winters—with plenty of free parking available on site.

EXCELLENT Based on 294 reviews Posted on Malissa SchmidtTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Easy once you know how to work with the automated systemPosted on Krizia HipolitoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had a wonderful experience with my BLS, and very clean locationPosted on Hayley HowardTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Everything was so easy and seamless! The only complaint I have was how warm it was in the room lol. It was 75 degrees while I was trying to do the compressions so it made it that much more tiring. I guess that’s something you have to be prepared for though ! 😂Posted on Sara Rodman LealTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is actually better than an instructor. The computer will not let you get away with any sloppiness, so all in all I like this a lot better than instructor and other people in class IF you are renewing, not for first timers.Posted on Criselda CaeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hi I’m CriseldaCae. I really enjoyed my CPR training here.
